In July 2005 the whole Girls U16 squad went to Portugal and played against LAGOS Ladies U19 which included two Portugese Ladies internationals, both of whom were on Benfica Ladies books.

A warm up 5 a side match was played in doors so that the girls could aclimatise themselves and get to know their elustriase opponents.

The BIG match was played in the impressive LAGOS Stadium and the girls took the game to their Portugese opponents from the off. Goals from Grace Clark and Captain, Holly Wade secured Perry Street a fabulous 2-1 victory against a very skillful, and much older, side.

The score could have been more impressive but for amazing saves by the LAGOS keeper from Michelle Stoneman and Sharna Owens in the first half.

The girls attitude and total commitment to each other was typical of how the girls play their football.
